We believe that palliative care is ‘Responsive Care’. It is care that is responsive to the needs of patients and their families.
Palliative care recognises that the problems faced by a person with a serious illness are not just confined to the disease. It acknowledges that there may be pain and other symptoms related to the psychological, social and spiritual concerns of patients and their families.
The goal of palliative care is to provide the best possible quality of life, at every stage of treatment, starting from diagnosis.
We believe that palliative care should be accessible from the time of diagnosis to relieve suffering, reduce symptom burden and ensure an improved quality of life, till the very end.
