Education-in-Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) for Pediatrics successfully concluded after a 2 day intensive session

The second Education-in-Palliative and End-of-Life Care for Pediatrics (EPEC Pediatrics) was hosted at the Cipla Palliative Care & Training Centre on 19th and 20th Jan 2019. Over 70 participants, across Maharashtra attended the workshop.

The training was conducted by International and National Doctors and Nurses who specialize in the field of pediatric palliative care. The sessions were delivered through interactive lectures, case studies, role plays and group activities.

The 2-day workshop covered topics such as Pain & Symptoms Management, Pediatrics-in face-to-face settings, Respiratory symptoms, Developmental understanding of death, Communication and Planning, Self-care for professionals and many more.

The workshop was very well received and the participants shared positive feedback about the sessions.

The second EPEC – Pediatric Training in India is a comprehensive adaptation of the EPEC curriculum designed to address the needs of children, their families, pediatric oncology providers and other pediatric clinicians. It was developed by and continues to receive inputs from experts in several pediatric disciplines as well as parent advocate advisers.
